updates to camp
Here are some of the changes we have made to camp based on your feedback from last year:
- Wombat Summer Camp is a sober space. No recreational drug use or alcohol use will be permitted.
- Addition of a “low-sensory” space. This will likely be a tent set-up with cushions and blankets.
- The camp menu will be published as soon as our kitchen lead spots have been filled. Applications for camp kitchen leads will open prior to general admission!
- There will be planned nude events and spaces on the camp schedule but nudity must be confined to those events. This is to ensure a comfy and consensual camp experience for everyone!
- Breakfast on Sunday will be “pick up and go” instead of a hot prepared meal.
- We will have an extra supply of toilet paper and paper towels for the bunkhouse.
- The Camp Talent Show will have act submission and a little bit more organization (which we will discuss at the pre-camp planning meeting in the spring!)
- Anyone can apply to be a kitchen lead! These positions require interviews and a submission of planned meals prior to acceptance.
