Parking info

If you’re planning to drive to the studio, this will be super helpful! If you’re walking, bussing, etc., you probably don’t need to read it 🙂 Hopefully it doesn’t sound too overwhelming to get this much info! It’s not always super hard to park but we’d rather you have excessive info than not enough!

We all know parking in this city is rough, and while we’re certainly not in the worst part of the city for parking, it’s not always easy, and it’s never fun to start your pole dance class with parking frustration! Here’s our tips and tricks for parking in the neighborhood.

  • Assume it will take 10 minutes to park and walk to the studio on evenings and weekends. (It’s usually easier during the day M-F)
  • Street parking in the whole neighborhood is free! This includes parking in the gravel parking spaces in front of most houses across Greenwood Ave on 103rd and neighboring streets. These spots are usually more available than the spots on our block.
  • If you’re up for walking a full block, there’s always parking on Dayton ave, just navigate toward 501 N 103rd st, turn right on Dayton, and pull to the side of the road. I usually park next to the large hedge there.
  • Park 15ft from the fire hydrant in front of the studio on both sides, even though one side is painted and the other isn’t. People get ticketed and towed there.

Additional option: Backup parking to be used ONLY if there’s no street parking available or you have an accessibility need and ONLY during listed hours.
If you think you may need to use this option, please carefully read all the details in this email, as missing a detail may result in getting towed, and/or us needing to terminate the agreement because it is expensive for us and relies on everyone’s cooperation to help! Duane Orthodontics, located on approx Greenwood and 103rd, but facing Greenwood, half a block north of the studio, is renting us their parking lot but only during their off hours.

Before you get too excited:

  • There’s only 5 spots, and we often need 20+ at a time. In order for this to help at all, we ask that you use these spots as backup when you absolutely cannot find other parking after circling the neighborhood. Do not drive straight to Duan as your parking plan unless you have an accessibility reason to do so.
  • We may only use this lot after 5pm on weekdays, and on weekends. Parking here before 5pm on weekdays will result in getting towed at your own expense, and likely them terminating our agreement.
  • Please assume it will take just as long to find parking and plan accordingly!

We are paying for this every month because we trust that wombats will work together to make sure it’s put to the best use, and respect the boundaries of Duan Orthodontics so we don’t use their lot during their hours!

If you need accessible parking, please let us know. We don’t manage the parking in the area but we can contact our building manager to try to coordinate options!
